About Sharon

While living in NYC, she was inspired by a Rodney Yee yoga video in 1992 and has been practicing yoga since then. She is blessed in receiving her 200 hour yoga training in 2006 in NJ, Advance Yoga studies (500hr) Asheville Yoga Center in 2015, and most delightful experience with a certification in Therapeutic Chair Yoga and Warm Water Yoga from Terry Roth Schaff in 2016 (IAYT approved program). Sharon is IAYT Certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT).

Sharon practices a holistic healing of yoga to help students awaken to an eclectic blend of breath, movement, inner strength, and harmony. Other certifications to name a few: Relax and Renew & Advance Trainer with Judith Hanson Lasater (May, Aug 2011), Lotus Palm Thai Yoga Intermediate (2008-2010), Reiki I-III Practitioner (2008-2012), Vinyasa Flow with Seane Corn (Apr 2011), Advance Yoga Therapy with Doug Keller (2014), Yoga and Meditation with Shala Worsley (2015), Chakra Awakening with Anodea Judith and Om Pranayama with Cyndi Lee (Aug 2015).

She assisted Yoga for Arthritis & Scoliosis led by Dr. Loren Fishman and Terry Roth Schaff (Oct 2016), Yoga for Osteoporosis(Jan 2017, 2018), and Yoga for Your Neck and Shoulders led by Dr. Allen Wilkins and Terry Roth Schaff (April 2017). She teaches a variety of group and private classes ranging from mixed hatha, gentle, restorative, vinyasa flow, chair, yin and teens in central NJ. She has over 3,000 hours of teaching experience (E-RYT). She is grateful to Sakula Yoga, Terry Roth Schaff, and several former studios that gave her confidence as a teacher and holistic well-being of yoga. Sharon shares her knowledge to new Sakula Yoga teacher trainees as a lead trainer. She enjoys learning, creating class sequences, and sharing mindfulness practices to those who welcome yoga.

If she is not teaching yoga, she enjoys spending time with her husband Ken, two dogs and cat in Hillsborough, NJ.
